Mr.
Guilford’s experience comes from over 25 years as an Inland Empire veteran
radio broadcaster, advertising copy writer, producer, and advertising account
executive. Mr. Guilford holds a BA in Communications, 1980, from California State
University, Fullerton. He was born and raised in Southern California, he has now
resided nearly two decades with his wife and family in Perris, CA.
Also
being a 30 year veteran of the grocery industry, Mr. Guilford began working in
the Wine Country area in 1999 for Stater Bros. Markets, in Temecula. When they
committed a major portion of their wine and beverage department to the local wineries,
this location rapidly became one of the foremost retailers of local wines. LeRoy
became somewhat of an emissary for the Temecula wine region through the development
of HYPERLINK "http://www.ShopTemeculaWines.com" www.ShopTemeculaWines.com
(a true labor of love), and was invited to attend the Annual Symposium for Professional
Wine Writers, held at Meadowood Resort, Napa Valley, CA, which began in 2005.
This lead to his meeting and befriending many top names in the wine and food industries,
and ultimately to this radio show which began life in the Inland Empire on a local
station in 2004, ultimately to find his new home here at AM830 KLAA.
